I hope all you Steemians are having a great weekend!
Today I'm gonna be sharing the trip my girlfriend and I took, when we went to stay a night at the Queen Mary in Long Beach.
This isn't going to be a history lesson on the Queen Mary as that would just take entirely too much time and also isnt necessarily my forte. However I hope you all can enjoy what I do have to share! :)
The photo at the top of the post, would be the exterior of the ship, and visible as you get out of your car, quite massive!
The beautiful view above was right from our room that we stayed in, as we were able to enjoy the harbor in Long Beach as we relaxed in the Pacific Ocean :) I was able to relax with some dabs too! ;)
An anchor that was near the engine room and absolutely huge! Alex standing next to it at 5'4 and that gives you an idea of just how massive it is!
Photos taken in the engine room which can be quite the maze and journey. A very dark one for most part, but these were taken with decent lighting. Certain parts of this area are said to be haunted for unfortunate reasons, however we did not experience anything strange during our walk through, however at the same time not really looking for anything.
One of the propellers that is of course no longer in use, and in its own separate viewing room. Quite the eerie vibe in this room and again another part of the ship said to have paranormal activity. Take a look online or even Ghost Adventures as I believe during their investigation they had an interaction here as well as the Swimming Pool, which unfortunately I do not have any photos of, as we went to the pool on a tour where no photos were allowed.
Walking on one of the decks around midnight and enjoying the ocean air, quiet, peacefulness and serenity of the moment.
Enjoying our brunch on the ship the next morning with that same stunning view of the harbor. Was delicious too!
One last look at the ship as we checkout and say our goodbyes. If any of you are near the Southern California area, I highly suggest going to the Queen Mary, and even if you can stay the night in a room, make sure visit and learn about it's interesting and unique history as well as enjoy the breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean.
My girfriend Alex and I had a blast and can't wait to go back sometime :) Thank you for reading and hopefully enjoying this post and showing some love! Happy Travels!
