even when she ruffles her feathers.
And the wind doesn't help, when in flight;
especially in the winter's weathers.
She tries to find a spot to settle.
She hurries before she's caught by the storm,
and makes a nest out of straw and nettle.
sheltered by a tree,
She's feeling cold-pains,
with the plummeting degrees.
But she has seen this wolf before.
In fact, he's the reason for the scars on her elbows,
An encounter she did not care for.
The temperature drops.
Then night grows longer,
And her conscience tells her to stop.
And they share a tender moment.
Neither of them dare to utter a word,
As they're both too warm to come up with a comment.
as his hunger overpowers his compassion.
So runs away in a silver blur,
leaving her in a lonely fashion.
That the moment he gave her was like no other.
now she's scared no creature could possibly warm her,
and she's tempted to stay there and wallow in pother.
