My Application to The Alliance
To start, introductions are in order. To those who do not know me, my Steemit username is @inthenow or you can call me Tom... Hola!
Now on to the questions.
1. How did you find #thealliance?
I found out about the Alliance by doing a charity donation drive for YAH, and then by following a few members for quite some time now... @topkpop and @tattoodjay for instance.
2. Why do you want to be here (in the alliance)?
I am looking for a place to call home, and to make some new friends, that are of a like mind. And to have some fun to boot.
3. What qualities do you have that would make you a valued member of the family?
I am a Single Father, Veteran, and I am all about helping people in need. I go out of my way to help other people when I can, and try to make the world a better place. There is more to life, than just being someone who takes without thinking of others, that is not how I live my life.
When I first came to Steemit, I started a Charity that dealt with finding missing children across the world, called One Life At A Time. Well apparently it isn't a topic that most people are willing to step into lightly. And needless to say, that it didn't work out but... I do not give up easily. So I donated the money that was raised for my charity to YAH. And the remainder that is being powered down as we speak, will also go to YAH. In the near future I will tackle that one again. I have quite a few ideas on how to make finding the missing faster, that I would like to see happen. It would be a great thing to find these missing children, and unite them with their families.
I also am running a contest that is part of the SML: the SML Feedback Contest. This contest is all about helping musicians and producers on Steemit get some valuable producing tips, and some quality feedback to help them improve their music. And they can earn points that go toward the Challenges, plus win Steem and other crypto, and learn more at the same time. :-)
I am a member of the Veterans Community on Steemit, and am filling in doing the manual curation of all Veterans Posts until the bot gets it wheels back. I am also a member of East Coast Steem, and help out where I can there. I am also a member of PAL.net too, although I am not as chatty there yet as much as I would like to be LOL. I am also a musician and producer, along with being a graphic artist, website designer, a coder: mysql, php, javascript and etc. I design graphics for a few Steemers that you may know, @elderson and some for the ECS Group run by @chelsea88. So as you can see I am heavily involved in Steemit, and several groups.
And my days are quite busy with my Daughter, she keeps me hopping. And I get to wear all the hats, and get all the duties LOL, but wouldn't have it any other way. So there you have it, all about who I am and what I do. Have a great evening.
