Ipod Shuffle DIY charger cable?

So here's my problem. I have an old ipod shuffle 2-nd gen that i just adore, but recently my dog chewed and actually ate the small cable charger. Looks like this:

I'm trying to DIY a charger using some old usb cable i found and a 4 pin 3.5 jack cable . My tries have been unsuccessful, as i get confused by the different cable colors and i don't know how to connect them .

  • USB cable has 4 wires : Green, Red, White, Black
  • 3.5 JACK cable has 5 wires : Red, Green,White, Green and Red, and A copper one
Jack cable came from and old Nokia headset ( WH-102 black)

This is how i should connect USB and Jack :

And this is the jack pinout :

I'm only interested in charging it so i should be able to connect two wires and make it work, right ?
I tried connecting

  • Red wire from USB with green and red wire from the Jack
  • Black wire from the usb with white from jack

With no success .What should i do ?
