Today I met a high school friend after ten (10) years, who counted in about 30 minutes why he wanted to give-up life. His story was quite touching and his reasons valid having known his growing up was difficult and trying. Having lost his father at a tender age, himself and the siblings managed to be hawk after school to be able to afford the little school fees then.
On growing into his mid twenties, he discovered that his uncles had their landed properties seized all to force him into compromising his faith and to dash his hopes for a great future.. These and many other things he said dropped tears from my eyes, yet, I encouraged my self to be a pillar of strength for him.
After asking a few questions on how he fed, managed to finish the university (though with no work yet) and having sponsored his two (2) other siblings, he acknowledged how God has always showed up each time he would come to a crossed road. With his response, I told him:
DON'T YET THROW THE TOWEL: THE FUTURE IS GREATER THAN THIS
To you reading this post, your own situation may be worse and more difficult, yet, its not a cause to give-up. That you wake each day to breath life in your nostrils is a clear indication that you're not yet through with this life and life isn't yet through with you. Remember:
Every man was created with value to enrich our society. We all have something to offer to humanity. There is no need to lock yourself indoors shedding tears like you'll have to export it.
STOP !!! WAKE UP !!! TAKE RESPONSIBILITIES !!! INNOVATE SOMETHING !!! FACE YOUR FEARS
If your tears are not gonna heal and mend hearts; if your tears not gonna encourage another; if your tears not gonna build a life; if your tears not gonna bless a life, THEN, WIPE IT.
