Hello Steemians, Hello Hong Kong!!
It's time for another THAI restaurant. :D(my favorite). Today we visit Sheung Shui, one of the closest suburb to mainland China, and walk around for foods.
Thai Empire offers great foods but charge cheap price, the reason behind I guess because it's a local restaurant which has comparatively less customer and mainly serve the local residencies.
Simply decoration with bright style. Again you can see lots of pictures at the wall about the Thai royal family. During the time arrived is after lunch, so we're lucky to have few customers.
Take a look of the menu, you can see the lunch set is around HK$40 ~HK$50(US$5.1 ~US$6.4) including drinks.
Our orders today are BBQ pork jowl with rice vermicelli in tom yum soup. As you can see, they're really red in colour but it isn't that spicy as you think of. So the soup is very scrumptious(for me who can have only very little of spicy) as it's rich in tom yum flavour.
The pork jowl is okay and a little bit crispy, normal barbecue flavour.
Pad Thai is definitely a MUST for me, the Pad Thai is good as usual. I will say if they can put a lime for customer will be much better to rise the flavour. Just like my writing aboutFoodie Tasteem#55 - Tasty place.Taste of Thai.
So finally this fabulous meal only cost HK$45(US$5.5) per head with drinks. I'm very satisfied with that.:D
so ENJOY!!
