Many cyclists and runners mistakenly treat swimming as the ‚easy’, ‚recovery’ activity after intensive training.
This can’t be further from the truth! Swimming is incredibly demanding and is working all your body really hard.

Recovery is a very important part of your workout plan and it really should be focused on letting your body rest and regenerate.
So if you are serious about your fitness training don’t use swimming as recovery because you’ll need…recovery after that ‚recovery’! :)
The truth is that if you don’t feel like your heart is going to jump out of your chest – you’re not trying hard enough.
To achieve fitness effects you need to swim really hard! Our pulse is lowered in the water, we weight nothing, cold water slows our heart down and because of it all, you really need to work to get visible results beyond slight toning of the body.
