Windsor, half marathon and a walkabout

Yesterday we spent some time in Windsor to support our daughter in running the Windsor Half; which itself looped around Windsor Great Park.

So as Alice set off with thousnds of other people, we took the two children for a stroll which was a rollercoaster of emotions. Especially when Aurelia was disappointed to learn that there were no princesses at home that day. She is four years old and loves Disney. Then she had a meltdown, “Mummy told me there are real princesses in there. You lied! You lied!”

Sadly the real princesses and princes don’t quite match those of the silver screen, or Netflix these days, so perhaps I should say OLED screen?

Lets talk cameras!

Last week I purchased an Osmo Action 5 Pro and I took it for a good spin this weekend. I opted for the Vlogging bundle, which includes a charging handle and a DJI Mic 2. It’s fantastic bit yesterday it was more a case of just shooting some sewuences and some photos to test out its dual capabilities as a video camera and a lightweight stills camera.

Anyway here are some samples, the video being taken aling the Royal Mile between Castle and park.

Alice finished ber run in 2h 50m which is her best to date. Her second half-marathon this year, would have been her third but illness back in the summer stopped her doing the Brighton Marathon.

Her husband is doing the Chicago marathon in October, so she and the two children are all going in support. They fly back and then Tina and I cross the Atlantic to Mexico!!

UPDATE: Does 3speak support 4k?? Does anyone know? The video has uploaded and then it dawned on me thy they perhaps they don’t fully support the format.
