Brick Lane

STREET PHOTOGRAPHY SERIES

When I was working very long hours in the city, Brick Lane was one of those places I'd spend my lunch time hours taking photos of people and things on the street. I love the energy on Brick Lane so much. It's a kind of London hipster energy that is distinct from other hipster cultures I've seen.

Not just Brick Lane itself, but also the off roads and back streets in the area. The general area which includes Shoreditch, parts of Hoaxton and Bethnal Green, is often referred to as the "art district". A good chunk of those artists live in nearby Hackney Wick, which is said to have the most concentration of artists, per square metre, in the world.
