The Ghost CableWay!

The Macuto Cableway is inaugurated in the state of Vargas, Venezuela during the presidency of General Marcos Pérez Jiménez, on April 19, 1956. After the fall of the president of that time the facilities were neglected, until their deterioration led to the closure in 1977.

During the presidency of Jaime Lusinchi it would be reopened for a brief period between 1986 and 1988. The cable car had 4 stations, 25 cabins with capacity to transfer 25 people in approximately 30 minutes, from the coast to the Avila.

Years later it would be called the Phantom Gondola by the locals given to the multiple sightings of what looked like a cabin still hanging from its lines in motion.

Currently it is a place frequently visited by groups of hikers, it is a very interesting place and full of mysticism and if you know where to look, you can find very peculiar things like the ones I found.
