The start of the NBA season has been absolutely crazy! Tonight we will see the Los Angeles Lakers back in action after their bench clearing brawl on Saturday night against the Houston Rockets. The Lakers will host the San Antonio Spurs in search of their first win of the season. Tip off is set for 9:30pm Central Standard Time and the game can be seen on National Television on the NBA TV Network. It will take place at the Staples Center in L.A. California. The Spurs are slight favorites at -1 point and the over/under is 224 points.

The Lakers enter tonight’s game searching for answers. They landed the biggest free agent of all time this past summer when they signed Lebron James to a 4 year contract. They had dreams of winning a NBA Title this year. They signed some veteran players like Rajon Rondo and Michael Beasley. But skeptics thought that that the mix of these volatile players would not work. And after just two games, it appears that is true.
Rajon Rondo lost complete control on Saturday night and spit on Rockets guard and Lebron James close friend, Chris Paul. Rondo also punched him and is now suspended for multiple games. Rondo is yet to apologize.
The home opener was supposed to be a celebration of exciting times for the Lakers. But instead, it was only an embarrassment.

The Spurs are also in weird times. Long gone are Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu. The dynasty is over. And their cornerstone of the franchise, Kawhi Leonard, was shipped to the Toronto Raptors.
So what does this season have in store for coach Pop? He has less talent than he has had in his coaching career. He is in the toughest conference in the NBA. And his team is ready for a full rebuild, sooner than later. This might be Pop’s last stand.
There is plenty to play for tonight. The Lakers are desperate for their first win of the season. The Spurs want to prove that they can still challenge the West’s best.
