Hi all, if you read my earlier post, I've been waiting for a salary offer on a new job.
They sent their "package" over to me today (shuddup @goldenarms 🍆 lol) 🍆and I was impressed! 🍆
Salary wise, they are offering a very good increase, with bonuses.
About another $650 per year in savings in benefits, cell phone reimbursement etc.
The shorter drive alone will save me an additional $3,000 per year in gas, oil, tires, and maintenance!
But then, hidden in plain sight was the kicker. They are also offering a generous car allowance on a new car! They pay the new car payment. That's huge.
After I worked up the monthly savings, as well as the pay, bonus, and vehicle....it looks like about a $13,000 increase per year, to cut my daily drive time in half, spend more time with the family, and learn some new skills.
There are a few smaller details that I still need to get ironed out tomorrow, but after talking with Mrs @jbcoin I'm thinking that I should accept the offer and start planning for a job a little closer to home!
