What is early pregnancy?
"EVERYTHING IN LIFE HAS ITS TIME."
The fact that a girl enters the reproductive stage does not mean that she is prepared for a pregnancy, since an early pregnancy causes serious problems for the future parents, the baby and other relatives.
What causes early pregnancy?
Early pregnancies were very common in under-resourced and undeveloped countries, but today these cases can also be seen in developed countries. They also occur because there are cultures that allow girls and teenagers to marry.
Among the most visible risk factors are:
✤ Children and adolescents who were victims of sexual abuse.
✤ Young people who start sexually early.
✤ Lack of guidance from responsible adults. (Schools, parents, etc.)
✤ Absence of sexual education.
✤ Social pressure from friends and boyfriends.
Consequences of pregnancy in girls and adolescents:
HAVING A CHILD IS A BLESSING OF GOD, but when it arrives out of time it can cause serious consequences.
Physical Consequences:
The mortality of babies, girls and adolescents is the most serious consequence of an early pregnancy.
severe anemia, complications in childbirth, previous placenta, abortion, preeclampsia, diseases in the baby.
Psychological consequences:
Most teenagers who become pregnant do not receive help from the parent, and if they marry in most cases the union ends in divorce or being a dysfunctional family.
School dropout, frustration, depression, guilt, low self-esteem, all because life gives them a big change and they can not enjoy and live their lives as they normally did.
Social:
Rejection by family and friends. Difficulty settling down financially, shame, isolation and anxiety, guilt and failure.
Prevention of early pregnancy.
"ALL IN GOOD TIME, PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN BREASTFEEDING" (anomime phrase)
We can prevent early pregnancy in the following ways:
