Tips When Writing a Post
Write interesting topics - I always mention about writing interesting or quality content on your every post. Because It is the most important thing that bloggers must know in order to attract readers. Our posts must be at least something that readers could relate.
Learn the Markdown Styling - When writing your post you will notice the Markdown Styling hyperlink below your draft. Markdown styling will help you create a better and professional look blog by adjusting the fonts, the position of your posts and photos. Simply click the hyperlink and it will lead you to the page of instructions on how to format your texts.
- Use a photo in your posts - Photos can help your post become more visible. Some Steemians, in fact, I am one of them who easily get attracted with photos. Using photos in your posts will also help your readers imagine the story of your post.
- Write captions for your photos - If you are only posting photos such as your piece of photographies and arts, it’s a good idea of adding some captions about your subject. A bit of explanation, trivia or any related quote I think will do. Not unless you’re joining a contest and was advised not to write anything.
- Think of a title - Think of a title that could ring a bell to your reader's curiosity. What readers first see in our posts is the photo and the title, therefore, it is important to use a title that could be attractive to the readers.
- Add link to your previous posts - It is also helpful to add the link to your previous blogs on your current post so your readers could read back. And if your posts haven’t reach payout yet, you might also get some additional upvotes. It's also another way of promoting your previous posts.
- End your post with a question - Asking your readers some questions or their thoughts about your posts would call them to take action to leave a comment on your posts. By doing so, you will be able to start and engage in a conversation with your readers.
These tips helped me a lot to improve my blogging. I hope you learn something on this post. If you have any additional tips, please feel free to leave a comment below and it will be highly appreciated.
