Hello Steemians!I have been busy for the past few days but tonight I wanna share something to all of you. Hoping that you will get something out of my post.
Dreaming is a precarious work. If we are going to dream there are some things we have to have in our lives. And that is, IMAGINATION, COURAGE, and COMMITMENT.
I believe we cannot separate the dream from the dreamer. And I am one of those dreamers that possess distinct characteristics.
After graduating in high school, I dreamed to finish in college and someday I would be able to find a stable job to support my family. For me , it was just a dream coz we don’t really have money to spend for my tuition and all the necessary things for my studies. But I didn’t stop dreaming, I told myself that I have to do something about it. I tried taking exams for scholarships but sad to say there were no response.
What makes a dream distinct are the characteristics of the one dreaming. A characteristic that makes a person different from one another, different in a way that is easy to notice.
Below are some of the distinctions of a DREAMER :
1. DREAMERS ARE INTENTIONAL
All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to end that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible.”
— T.E. Lawrence
As a young lady, I intentionally dreamed big for my family since my parents passed away when I was young. I want to prove them that they had raised a good and responsible daughter. So, since I did not get scholarships for my studies, I tried to look another ways. Luckily, my teachers in High School encourages me to be a working student to serve a family. But my older brothers won’t allow me because they were afraid I might commit mistakes. They don’t trust me to live in someone else house but I have to stand on my own because this is my dream and future. And No One Can Do It For Me except myself.
They were the one who helped me to succeed and encourages until I reached my goals
—To be intentional, I keep a singular focus. I focused my studies only as well as my responsibilities at home where I work as a working student until I graduated.
Aside of keeping a singular focus , I did everything to survive even if it’s so hard. There was a point that I almost give up but they let me realized that if I want to succeed, I have to sacrifice. And the last thing I could do is to pray and be thankful that He gave me the opportunity to work on my dreams.
2. DREAMERS TAKE RISKS
When I decided to follow my dreams, I have to take risks even if they won’t allow me. Taking risks is a part of life and I have to try it or else I will regret later on for not doing and leaving dreams in my imagination only. I do need the courage that I can do it with God’s guidance. I have to step out of the boat if I want to walk in the water.
According to the book “Soul Cravings” The maddening reality is that each and everyone of us has been created with a soul craving to become—to become something—something better, something different, something special, something unique, something admired, something valued, something more than we are.
3. DREAMERS ARE MOVERS
Even how hard my life as a working student but I am a mover of my dreams. After 4 years, I’ve finished my course and with God’s grace, I found a dwelling place where I can work and applied what I have studied. Now, I am already a licensed teacher teaching in a public school.

—The ultimate dreamer has always been God. In fact every dreamer that has ever lived in the ways of God did nothing but embrace God’s dream.
Always remember that:
DREAMERS ARE INTENTIONAL. DREAMERS TAKE RISKS. DREAMERS MOVE THEIR WORLD.
INSIGHTS
I’m not sure what your dream is, but I know: If it’s a dream worth having, it’s going to involve a lot of hardwork because inspiration will only take you so far.
Inspiration plus hardwork.
Good day Steemians!
