Excursions
The walks and excursions are experiences that can enrich the learning we get at school, because they put us in direct contact with the environment and allow us to check our knowledge.
The walks and the excursions are also a form of recreation and contribute to reinforce the effective bonds and coexistence between the students and the teachers.
However, walks and excursions require careful planning so that they meet the goal of educating and recreating. The planning must consider the place where the walk or excursion will take place, the material resources that are needed, the learning that will be reinforced and the rules that will be followed to avoid accidents.
Walks and excursions
We can differentiate a walk from an excursion for the duration, as distant as the place where we are going and for the environmental conditions.
• We take a walk when we go to a place near our town, for a few hours and do not require many material resources to stay in that place. For example: For example: visit the zoo or a park.
• We make an excursion when we go to a place far from our town, for more than a day and where we require material resources to stay in that place. For example: camping several days on a beach or in the mountains.
Hiking in National Parks
National parks are extensive areas that house one or several ecosystems that have been materially altered by humans; where the species of flora and fauna and other conditions present in them are of special scientific, educational and recreational interest.
The Venezuelan territory has 43 national parks that occupy an area of 13,031,531 hectares, among which we can name the national parks Henry Pittier, Guatopo, El Avila, Canaima, Sierra Nevada.
Hiking in national parks is regulated by the importance of these areas for the protection of flora, fauna, hydraulic and forest resources, and for the conservation of natural monuments in our country.
Attacking the regulations that each national park have for visitors, they can enjoy their areas (beaches, rivers, mountains, etc.) while preserving the environment.
