Steemit Voting Bots Are Down! What will change?

Logo_wikibot.svg.png

Psssst. It might not be a secret now but did you know that Steemit voting bots are currently not active? and all the voting is currently manual, the reason is that API is down , for non-technical folks. Bots are sick right now :)

Bots will be up and running soon again but this gave me a thought what would happen if we will have a bot less Steemit , what could or would change ? will it be good or bad ? Let us see what changes it might bring:

1- It will change the face of the trending page

Have you ever noticed how monotonous Steemits trending page looks like? Same old same old few Steemian can always be seen over there, leaving hardly any space for a minnow with even greater content then them.

No bot upvoting means those who used to be on the top will only stay there if they have created an awesome content or have so much social influence that people will vote for them even if they have to do that manually.

2- It will promote more socializing of Steemians

In a world filled with bots people forget or are too lazy to socialize but without bot upvoting people will really read the contents of each other, they might comment or just drop in to say hello too. Being bot free will makes Steemit more human and by being more human it will have more love to share.

3- Steemians will learn the right meaning of curation

Curation is not upvoting anything you see or blindly upvoting a author thinking her or his content has to be good, sometime even the best authors write low quality content, people will read the content and will upvote and curate it only if they really like it.

This no-bot situation of Steemit is not going to last forever and they will be up and running soon, But I myself is not able to think even a single downfall if this situation goes permanent. What do you think? Would you love a bot free Steemit ? Do you want Steemit to be more human? Comment below!!
