Being Considerate
If you're a parent, you've probably had the experience of speaking to a friend while your child is, very loudly and impatiently, trying to get your attention. This is the perfect opportunity to teach consideration. Tell them, "I understand you want to tell me something, but it is mannerly to either wait until I'm done talking to my friend, or say 'Excuse me please' so I can turn and listen to you." This method not only teaches your child consideration for other people, but patience and respect as well.
