As we all know that, the reason man exist is because the food chain (cycle) is in continuous process. So come to think of it,.if this food chain is not met at a particular time/era/period it will surely leads to extinction of some particular species.
The same thing goes to the festive period, there are some people that had enough while some are there without food, so please let the food chain be balance.
