Vision Boards - Why they work

Vision Boards work and there is a simple way of explaining why.

Creating an area that displays what you truly want and desire can bring it to life. What we focus on swells and expands into reality. When you create your vision board and place it in a space where you see it often, in your bedroom or study perhaps, you essentially end up visualising each image during the day.

One of the most powerful exercises you can do is visualising exactly what you want. Call it the Law of Attraction or fate if you must. It is forming your entire life experience and it is doing that through your thoughts. When you are visualising, you are emitting a powerful frequency out into the Universe.”

Whether you believe that or not, we know that visualization works. Olympic athletes have been using it for decades to improve performance, and Psychology Today reported that the brain patterns activated when a weightlifter lifts heavy weights are also similarly activated when the lifter just imagined (visualized) lifting weights.

So, what’s the big secret to creating a vision board that works? It’s simple: Your vision board should focus on how you want to feel, not just on things that you want. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great to include the material stuff, too. However, the more your board focuses on how you want to feel, the more it will come to life.

Here’s an example. I don’t only have a Lamborghini Aventador on my vision board (pictured above) but I have my dream interior as well. Attention to detail is crucial as the more defined your true goals/desires are the quicker you can achieve them. I have sat in and test driven an Aventador which, in turn, adds emotion and true feelings to my goal.

The graph in the centre of my vision board represents compounding interest. This is one of the greatest super powers in the universe and, in my opinion, should be harnessed to your advantage.

Every person’s vision board will be different as each person has dissimilar goals, beliefs, emotions and principles. Furthermore, do not copy vision boards you get off Google or your friends/mentors as for this process to work you must create your board with your own true endeavours.
