The meet up came in handy as we were able to discuss important issues that affects the development of @steemminna and our relationships with our funders.
Topics Discussed at the meet up include
How we get funds for our project: we came to conclusion that we can seek funds from both blockchain investors and offline donors
Empowering the people we donate to: so as to help them become less dependent on outsiders and become income generators through skills empowerment like sewing of clothes, beads and bag making, shoe making e.t.c
Team needs: to be more efficient we came to conclusion that we would be needing an office environment and a transport vehicle. These would help us keep account and make it easier to journey to various orphanages even in remote areas
Inter-school projects; in addition to donating and empowering the less privileged we see it fit to invest in education and we decided to hold Inter-school competitions which we include spelling competitions, writing competitions and sports
financial accounts: the need for having a company account came up to make it easier to acquire funds and more transparent
social media: social media promotes faster than human words, we have decided to spread the news of what we are doing on various social medias, so we can get more donors and show the world people still do good
Team shirts: We decided to get some t-shirts for the @steemminna members so we can easily be identified during our outings and meetups.

Have you heard of steemminna and steemteens?
@steemminna is an idea birthed by some youngsters who out of great concern for youths in the northern part of Nigeria who are suffering poverty, lack and starvation. This is as a result of past and present Governments who have come and gone, and have refused to pay attention to the needs of its citizens especially in the northern part of Nigeria where poverty is at its peak of activities. @steemminna came up with the sole aim of alleviating poverty through the steem platform and empowering youths to be self-dependent and being a source of help to others around them.
