Ever since I joined Steemit in June 2017, my life has been going through many adjustments. I have spent seven months on Steemit so far and there are a multitude of changes that have occured in me and my life. Most of these changes are good. Some are extraordinary.

Let me share with you these adjustments.
I Had a Teacher In Me, Steemit Brought It Out!
I was always good at teaching. From the very early days of my teenage. I was always good at understanding things. Analytical ability was abundant. It's called IQ. An example of that I was in grade five when I started learning English—from ABC—but in grade seven my teacher assigned half of the class to me so that I could teach grammar to my classmates.
I started learning what Steemit is and how it works. I leared how its reward system works, how reputation score is calculated and what behaviors and activities are desired and appreciated here. Then I started teaching people what I had learned. Ninety percent of my work is compiled in form of a complete Steemit guide which was inspired by a contest arranged by @inquiringtimes. I won the contest and the 50 Steem price as well. I am always going to learn things one by one and teach it to the community.
I Had a Financially Complicated Life, Not Anymore!
My life since the very start had been difficult. There's so much to it. Losing my mom so early, having no siblings, going through a very difficult childhood and financial contraints have plagued life almost forever. Read details in my story. Even after a highly respected government job, the challenges were too big to go away. So, I was literally cornered into tackling one problem at a time. I did not have the resources to do everything at once.
Steemit changed all that. In just seven months. To give you some perspective, I have been saving $240 per month from my salary for more than three years now. The total worth of savings—including annual profits—is almost $11,000 right now. I cannot withdraw 35 % of this amount because it is payment for housing. All the amount is maintained in organization's accounts so need to hack my bank account. It is empty. Haha!
Total worth of my Steemit account is...
That's a lot of worth in seven months and there's more...
And the current value of my crypto portfolio is...
Powered mostly by Steemit earnings.
And there are two ICOs in which I have invested $1000 in total. So, almost $14,000 worth (even more) acquired in less than a year. Compare that to what I have shared earlier. What does it mean to me? Financial freedom! I know that the current value of my account is nothing compared to what is about to come. I know in my heart that 2018 is the year of Steem; and thus the year of Steemians!
My First Online Dollar
I was intrested in computer and internet since the time I was introduced to them. It was 2003-04 in my early teenage. As I grew up and interacted with more people in my country, I came to know that internet could be used to earn money, and that many people were earning handsome money from internet. It got me intrigued.
I started figuring out things. I started knowing about blogging, freelancing and ad revenues. In 2016, I started focusing on two things; YouTube and blogging. I made my own blog and started learning more about it too. I started doing YouTube as well and learned about it as well. The thing which benefits me, I think, is that I always try to learn first and never stop learning. Same with Steemit.
One of the dozens of courses I have done online (Udemy, Coursera, World Bank etc).
I didn't do YouTube properly but have done extensive blogging for one year before joining Steemit. But I did not earn anything all that time. But I do have good knowledge and experience in content writing, blogging and SEO so it was never a total waste; infact I am thankful for the grinding efforts without earning. But it meant that I had not succeeded in earning my first online income.
Steemit changed that too. You know my situation if you have been following and interacting. Some of my posts have gone above $400 in rewards (and $1000+ in worth due to reward dynamics). As shown in previous point, I have earned a lot more than the first online dollar. In fact, value of my single upvote is more than $1.5 at the moment.
Sharp Focus, Unprecedented Consistency!
Let's come out of life and see what Steemit has done to my personal existence and habits. Good habits are necessary to succeed in anything. I have tried doing things in past but somewhere along the way, I used to lose interest. I did not have that deep desire to stay focused.
What changed all that is the habit of reading books and articles from great authors. Internalizing the lessons I have learned from books has made a huge difference in my life and it continues to do so. What Steemit did was to provide a platform where I could exercise my learnings and apply the important knowledge. I have been fairly consistent on Steemit. The focus is there. Life can suck at times and deprive me of my Steemit time. But I hold Steemit valuable in my life for all it has done and all it is going to do for me. I wish to remain consistently focused here.
Compassion, Empathy, Respect, Benevolance
The human side of me has received or polished these amazing gifts due to considerable time and activity on Steemit. Most of the people I interact with, support, and help are the people I do not know. People who are unknown as persons but known as humans. I see the humans in them more closely now.
Protecting the human inside is very very important. Steemit is an amazing community to do that.
'Amazing' is the most frequent adjective that I have used since joining the amazing Steemit community.
I try to help people, especially newbies; with or without invitation. I try to understand there problems and solve those problems for them. I talk to people respectfully. I try to spread Steemit love by upvoting comments and posts. The human inside me feels pretty much alive on Steemit.
Conclusion
I really hope that reading through this post encouraged and motivated you. I feel energized after sharing these deeply personal insights. My best hope is that someone will start seeing what Steemit can do and starts learning more about it. The tagline Untalent Adjustment comes from @surpassinggoogle who organized a contest with zero losers. There are too important things the untalented contents focus on.
The human in you.
And how that human interacts with Steem blockchain.
I wish you best of luck in life and on Steemit. I believe that Steemit can improve lives and it has improved mine as you can see.
Please resteem this post to help it reach more people. If you have some voting percentage, a bit of it on this post won't hurt.
