Want the luxury of diamonds without the blood? Do the words "impeccable origin" mean a lot to you?
Then check out Diamond Foundry which uses plasma reactor technology to create diamonds above-ground. Basically the plasma reactor creates plasma that is as hot as the sun's outer layers.
How the diamonds are "grown"
From the company website:
One by one, the atoms stack on top of a thin foundation of diamond... Atom by atom, it grows into a pure, jewerly-grade diamond of gem size.
Conceived by a founding team from Stanford, M.I.T. and Princeton, Diamond Foundry devised a way to use solar power technology to make a better diamond. The diamonds are made in California, which has some of the most liberal labor laws in the country.
In true California style, this company has a zero carbon footprint because they use -- you guessed it -- solar power credits.
Each diamond is a one-of-a-kind, unique and pristine diamond, just like mined diamonds but sans the blood and exploitation. I think the costs are similar. You can shop them at https://diamondfoundry.com/collections/diamonds
