Our life in this world is not complete without prayer and worshiping God because of all the things that He has done for all of us. How powerful is our prayer? Praying in the name of Jesus is powerful because when we pray in His name, we pray with His authority.
In John 16:23-24, God wants us anything in His name, Jesus Christ. Whatever we ask in His name, He is faithful to give it to us if we believe.>
John 16:23-24 New International Version (NIV)
23 In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you,
my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.
24 Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive,
and your joy will be complete.
The name of Jesus is the gateway through which true prayers must enter heaven. His name is the 'pass key' that opens heaven’s account.
Here are some things to remember about the Power of Prayer in the name of Jesus Christ.
1. We Pray with Jesus Authority. We acknowledge His divinity and Calvary’s victory when we pray with His authority.
2. We pray in His place and for His glory
3. We live out our lives and bring forth our requests in His name
4. We pray in the power of His name
5. We pray in relationship with Jesus
6. We pray expectantly. When we pray in Jesus' name, we may expect the answer in accord with the value of his name. So we can pray with great and excited expectation.
We must keep on connecting to God, as we are connected to Him definitely we can overcome everything that we are facing today. God is Powerful and through prayer we can direct talk to God. He is willing to answer all our prayer if and only if we are willing to talk to Him in Prayer. There is power in prayer in the name of Jesus Christ.
John 14:14 New International Version (NIV)
14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.
John 14:13 New International Version (NIV)
13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
Colossians 3:17 New International Version (NIV)
17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Acts 3:16 New International Version (NIV)
16 By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see.
