Fatherhood Friday - Sept. 8th

Fatherhood Fridays is back for another installment of great content posted by Dads in the last 7 days. There were so many great posts out there and I apologize that I didn't get to share them all. Digging through tags to find new content was both fun and rewarding. I was able to connect with many members who are outside of my normal circle. There were many great members as well as great content to be found. Below is a list of 5 posts that I felt needed to be shared with other SteemParents.

First lets start with some active Steemparents!

Breakthrough

@breakthrough is one of the most active members of the Steemparents community. He has even created his own tag called 'powerfulkids' His most recent blog in this series talks about celebrating your kids win and letting them build self confidence.

You can find his blog here: Building Powerful Kids 3 Celebrate their Choices

Pheliment

If you follow Steemparents, then you know about Parent Challenge #4 Get Crafty. The challenge was thrown out to parents to create a post centered around performing any sort of craft with your kids!
@pheliment took to the challenge and started what seemed like a simple and easy craft with his two children. If you have young kids then you know anything can happen and things are never simple and easy.
As expected things got a little messy and great memories were made.

Now lets check out some new content!

Knowledge-trust

@knowledge-trust has been a member of Steemit since October 2016!
I am glad that I stumbled upon his blog because he gives a view different from most steemparents. Most members currently have young children. Knowledge-trust's son is 36 years old and his post is a look back to when his son was only 5. His story is about learning a lesson the hard way. It also gives insight on how things can work out.
In the age of helicopter parents I found it an interesting read.

Ghostgtr

Now this is a blog that I really enjoyed. It reminded me a bit of my on post (Love is embarrassing). @ghostgtr is a member of the 'teamsouthafrica' community. He wrote a great post about having a tea party with his daughter. I am sure that all fathers who have daughters have been in the position before where they had to make a choice: Be a man? or be a great dad!

You can find his blog here: Dads just swallow it and show some teeth will you

Papa-pepper

@papa-pepper is another long time Steemian and has been a member since July 2016.
If you don't currently follow him, I highly recommend that you do. He has a great series called Wild-Mans Wild Friends which I enjoy
He recently posted a great vlog about his son's independent solution to a problem. There is no greater feeling as a parent than when your child learns to problem solve on their own.
