Communication or Communion with God.
Near the Week of Communion with God, it is interesting to meditate on this topic. It is not the same to have a communication with God in close communion. You can have, according to your own opinion, good communication, but maybe you are very far from sharing a true communion. They are two very different things.
The term comes from the Latin communio, which means "to participate in the common". Or "Union of two or more things in what they have in common". Communion with God then, is to share something that is common to both. And who is called to adapt to the characteristics of the other, it is we who seek God. What must be common for you and me, are the elements that characterize the behavior of our Creator. If you do not agree with the essence of God's character that is love, then there will never be such a communion no matter how hard you try to maintain communication with it. When God created the human being he designed to live in communion with him, therefore, put his own breath in the body of man.
The Bible is clear. God draws us to himself. "With human cords I brought them, with cords of love ..." Hosea 4:11. These passages only show that communion with God comes in the combo of human creation and is the permanent call of God made to the creature. The man carries within himself a permanent impulse in his spiritual life that yearns for that communion, but at the same time he rejects because he puts his own self above his closeness to God. Forget, that God is holy and can not be in communion with those who do not practice holiness. How do you like it?
Any Christian who thinks that communion with God is very easy is wrong. You should not confuse personal communication with communion. Communion with God is daily. It is our thoughts, our daily actions, our habits and our character that determine the degree of communion we have with our Lord Jesus Christ. "What we have seen and heard, we announce to you, so that you too may have communion with us; and our communion is truly with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. " 1 John 1: 3
"Those who have this union with Christ will manifest it in spirit, in words and deeds. The profession is nothing unless in word and deed the good fruit is revealed. Unity, communion with one another and with Christ: that is the fruit that carries each branch of the living vine. The purified soul, born again, has a clear and distinct testimony to give ...
To know God means, in the biblical sense of the term, to be one with him in heart and mind, knowing him by his own experience, maintaining a reverent communion with him as Redeemer. Only through sincere obedience can that communion be obtained "Book God takes care of us
There is a very simple way to know how is that communion that many boast of having with God. They proclaim, publicize and appear without any flush among their relatives and brothers of the Christian church to which they belong. And that is through the "fruits of the Spirit." Because the experience is perfected bearing fruit. "He who does not bear good fruits in words and in deeds, in the strength of a high, ennobling principle, is a bad tree. The fruit that it carries is tasteless for God. The knowledge of Christ who professes is a falsehood, a deception ... "Ob.Cit. "Until Tuesday, God through
