Unforgiveness is similar to holding a grudge. It is simply being unwilling to forgive or let go of an offense you or someone did. Yes, you can have unforgiveness even to yourself, lets see what the bible has to say about unforgiveness.
In Matt. 18:33
“Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellow servant, even as I had pity on thee?”
Over time, due to human shortcomings we do things that can incur God's wrath, but he still forgives us when we cry unto him. I wonder why it is so hard to forgive our neighbor when he or she wronged us.
MY THOUGHTS ON UNFORGIVENESS
Unforgiveness is likened to a weight on ones heart and conscience. if you do not let it go, you willl continue to suffer
sourceUnforgiveness is like a prison where you are the prisoner as well as the warden
sourceand finally , unforgiveness keeps you in chains and unrest. How do you feel when you cannot freely interact with certain people in your environment? Isnt that alot of work picking out who to talk to and who to ignore?

Saying sorry
Saying sorry and being truly sorry when you are wrong
Most people find this very difficult to do, maybe because they feel they are right or maybe it is just their pride and ego. There is nothing wrong in apologizing even when you are wrong mainly for the sake of peace. I admonish my readers to always be the "bigger man" in every misunderstanding. Why?
- because it saves time,
- it saves the relationship,
- it shows maturity,
- it prevents further conflict and
- it tosses the guilty on the other party when he/she is truly wrong.
Generally, unforgiveness is alot of work and stress on the mind. It is better to direct all that energy to something more positive. And saying sorry is not going to kill you, learn to apologize when you are wrong, life is too short to be holding grudges.
