Thoughts of a Missionary - STEEMCHURCH - PHILIPPINES

Our Salvation is free to us, but it had a huge cost to our Savior Jesus Christ. We did not earn our salvation through goodness or good works of our own. It was a feee gift from God, by Faith we are saved.

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

OUR SALVATION IS FREE, BUT ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING AFTER WE ARE SAVED HAS A COST

I took this photo yesterday in Alabama.

So many of us are waiting on God to give us specific instructions as we are doing precious little while we wait.

GOD WILL REACH DOWN AND SAVE US, FORGIVE US, CLEAN US UP AND GIVE US A NEW LIFE, BUT HE WONT GET US UP OUT OF BED OR OUR RECLINER AND MAKE US PRAY OR STUDY THE BIBLE

While we are waiting on God, in reality He is waiting on us. He is waiting for us to believe His Word and to do what it says. The instructions or special revelation that we await are already clearly written in His Word. It is as we are doing what He already clearly instructs that He is able to steer us to a specific destination

FOR EXAMPLE, IF YOU ARE SITTING IN PARKED CAR AND TURN THE STEERING WHEEL, THE CAR DOES NOT CHANGE DIRECTION IN THE SLIGHTEST AMOUNT. THE CAR HAS TO BE MOVING FOR THE STEERING TO AFFECT THE CAR’S DIRECTION. AS WE ARE MOVING FORWARD BY DOING WHAT IS ALREADY WRITTEN IN THE BIBLE, THEN GOD WILL STEER US OR BETTER SAID, THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL LEAD US TO HIS DESIRED LOCATION.

Jas 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
Jas 1:23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

Implied YOU

There is a term called the “Implied you”. For example if I say it you, “Pass me the butter!” I did not say you, but the you is implied. It could be said, “You, pass me the butter!”. The “you” is implied but not said.

God’s Word is full of the “Implied you”

Php 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

You work out your own salvation

Luk 9:23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

You deny yourself, You pick up your cross

Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

You Go, You teach

Rom 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Here the you is not implied but this scripture says we are the ones that crucify our flesh using the power of the Holy Spirit. My point is we cannot wait for God to do it, it is for us to do

SALVATION TO US IS ABSOLUTELY FREE, BUT EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE KINGDOM REQUIRES OUR EFFORT. WE WILL ONLY GET OUT OF OUR CHRISTIANITY, WHAT WE ARE WILLING TO PAY THE COST FOR.

Mat 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

We pursue the promises of God
We don’t relent until we see it come to pass in our lives
All of the promises are yes and amen in Christ Jesus
We are Ambassadors of the Kingdom
Abundant life requires Abundant death
Our Faith will always have an appropriate action
