LUKE:16-21
16 Then He spoke a parable to them, saying: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully. 17 And he thought within himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops?’ 18 So he said, ‘I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.” ’ 20 But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?’21 “So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”SOURCE
Many people are very stingy towards God and they are they are always like that because they only think about this earth and forget heaven.
in this passage we read above, it has been indicated that this man is a fool and does not remember his God who gave bless the land, to bring fruit for him.

What make this man a fool?

  • He was called a fool because, he failed to appreciate God, who give increase 1cor 3:6-7 " 6 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. 7 So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow." SOURCE
    in everything you are doing, praise God because he his the one that create us and give us this breath of life.

  • He was called a fool because, he sees himself as the owner of his. Gen 2:7 "7 Then the Lord God formed a man[a] from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being." SOURCE. Ecclesiastes 3:20 also said that "All go to the same place; all come from dust, and to dust all return"

*He was called a fool because he was single minded. prov 23: 4-5

"(4)Do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness. (5) Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone,for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle." # SOURCE.

Note:: What i keep i lost but what i give i recover. learn to be a cheerful giver.

  • He could not live to enjoy that which he has gathered. prov 11:24 "One person gives freely, yet gains even more;
    another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty" source

So please let build our riches in God, feed his people, remember God in everything you are and never be selfish.
