The words motivate, but the example creates an influence, and Jesus gave us an example with his life. He warned about the spirit of religion that says do something, but does not do anything, and if it does it is only to be seen, therefore, by doing this way you lose the reward. Jesus did not talk about us becoming like the servants, but about becoming one of them. The greatest title that someone can obtain is that of servant, we have the gift of God, we are similar to Him and God has the spirit of service; so, within us is enclosed a powerful spirit of service that is able to take away the crown of thorns and give us the gold one. The spirit of service makes us shine where others did not shine, and although this spirit is highly sought after, it is also scarce, because everyone wants the golden crown, but nobody wants the thorns.

Acts 20: 17-19: "Sending, then, from Miletus to Ephesus, he called the elders of the church. When they came to him, he said to them: You know how I have behaved among you all the time, from the first day I entered Asia, serving the Lord with all humility, and with many tears, and tests that have come to me by the snares of the Jews. "
Paul tells the church not to look at his words, but at his example, he refers to serving the Lord, because there are some who serve themselves. He who does this is full of arrogance, but the true spirit of service is full of humility.
We were all born to give something that God deposited in us and it is necessary that it be given because it is connected to someone's need, the rule of nature is to live to serve. When we begin to give what is in us, God begins to multiply what we have. We do not settle for being in the church receiving, but we are among those who dare to give. With that spirit of Jesus that is in us we will make history, but whoever does not have it will be limited to telling the story that those who possess this spirit wrote. Everyone who has a spirit of service will be remembered forever, attains greatness, belongs to a spiritual memory, because he lives to give his life for others. Do we want to go far? Let us have a spirit of service, do we want to be forgotten? Let's live for ourselves.
Matthew 25:21: "And his lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a little, I will set you much; enter into the joy of your lord. "
Galatians 2:20: "With Christ I am crucified together, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me; and what I now live in the flesh, I live in the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. "
The spirit of service does not remain static, it seeks to please God, and whoever is connected to that spirit can not remain immobile. While we are available to be used by the Lord, God will use us. The one who does not have a spirit of service leaves everything behind, and this spirit can not be bought or taught, it has to awaken in us, and it awakens once we receive Jesus, and that is when we understand that there is something in us that is the road to greatness. We must know that when this spirit wakes up inside us the attack will come so that we do not give what we have, which is connected to the need of another, but even if this happens we must move on. God has given us a spirit of service to bless not to curse, and all that God blesses is blessed.
We are a church that gives, that serves, that does not take away anything from the people because our hands and the grace of God have been enough for us. Jesus said: "It is better to give than to receive" - reference Acts 20:35. We need something? let's find who to give, do we need to be great? let's find someone to wash his feet, who to serve, when we do this, God will show us the way to greatness and will place us in high places. The most successful people have a spirit of service, when Jesus says it is better that they give not only talk about sacrifice, they talk about blessings. When we look for who to bless, who to help, who to connect with Jesus, heaven will open up over our life because He does not keep anything.
