The good news is that He also promises His provision: “....but the lord delivers him out of them all” (Ps. 34:19).
Every problem you face has a purpose. Problems have made you what you are. They are the reason for every improvement you’ve ever made.
Problems either force you to go to the next level of spiritual or personal accomplishment, or they cause you to go to the next level of spiritual or personal accomplishment, or they cause you to choose to stay in the squalor of Egypt. The choice is yours!
I am sure some of the children of Israel were satisfied with the status quo of Egypt. Their complacency led them to believe they could exist with the status quo.
God had other plans. He wanted them to go to the Promised Land, their inheritance –the place of His provision. Yet while some were complacent, others were listening to God’s voice, waiting for a sign that would lead them out of their misery and to their divine destiny.
Are you less than happy? Are you listening for the voice of God? Are you asking Him to reveal His purpose for your problem? Are you ready to take action on what He asks of you and to claim and proclaim your provision? Or are you complacent and satisfied to live in the oppression of your crisis for the rest of your life?
God refers to hearing and obeying throughout the Bible. In Jeremiah 7:23, the Lord says, “Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people.”
In John 10:27, Jesus teaches, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.”
The question now arises, How do I hear His voice? Mark 4:23 speaks of what we hear when Jesus says, “If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.”
For every divine sound, Satan has a deceptive counter-sound designed to destroy you. A baby loves to shake a plastic toy rattle in his tiny hand. Yet the sound of that harmless rattle is virtually identical to the rattling of a vicious and poisonous snake, coiled and ready to strike. One brings joy, and the other brings certain death..... You can see how it could be.
It is possible for the spirit man to hear from three different sources:
The Holy Spirit
Your canal flesh
A demon spirit
It’s critical to be certain that what you hear can be verified by the Word of God while you are working your way through the problem.
Do not go by your feelings, your emotions, or the majority vote of your prayer group. Go by the yea and Amen of the Word of God.
We are not born with the ability to hear God’s voice; we learn to hear God’s voice through the aid of the Holy Spirit, who lives within the believer.
