Text: Isaiah 52:3-7
For thus saith the LORD, Ye have sold yourselves for nought; and ye shall be
redeemed without money.
For thus saith the Lord GOD, My people went down aforetime into Egypt to
sojourn there; and the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.
Now therefore, what have I here, saith the LORD, that my people is taken
away for nought? they that rule over them make them to howl, saith the
LORD; and my name continually every day is blasphemed.
Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that
day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I.
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good
tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that
publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!
Thy watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing:
for they shall see eye to eye, when the LORD shall bring again Zion.
Break forth into joy, sing together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: for the
LORD hath comforted his people, he hath redeemed Jerusalem.
The LORD hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and
all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.
Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye
out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD.
In the Bible we see the eternal plan of God for the redemption of man and the steps that has to be taken for one to be saved: Hear the gospel, Believe in Jesus Christ, Repentance of sins, Confession of our faith Christ: and Baptism by immersion ln water. All these steps taken lead to salvation, forgiveness of sins, a new birth making one a Christian, a Child of God and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2: 37 41). We Want to consider today 3 of the many attributes of this God-designed salvation, which signifies its importance:
This salvation is precious. It should be paramount in our mind am take priority in our life; for “...How shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation...” Hebrews 2: 3.
This salvation is visible, it has appeared to all men and it is evidentin the Bible. This salvation is not hidden, rather, men are the ones hiding themselves from it. Some even try to determine their own way of salvation; forgetting that it is not in man that walk to direct his footsteps (Jer. 10:23).
God's plan for man's salvation is also universal. The Bible's requirement for salvation is the same for everyone. All the example in the book of Acts show everyone believing the gospel and baptised; and till today, the same steps are taken for salvation. FOI' “... it is the will of God that all men be saved....” I Timothy 2: 4.
God has not and will not alter these steps for anyone. If you have not surrender your life for salvation for a relationship with Jesus or perhaps you are having a wrong perception of salvation, God's word is reaching out to you today, reconsider your stand. Let us all appreciate God for this perfectly designed salvation, best suited to redeem man from eternal condemnation.
