James 3:13
Who is there among you who is wise and intelligent? Then let him by his noble living show forth his [good] works with the [unobtrusive] humility [which is the proper attribute] of true wisdom.
Everyday we wake up on our beds, we know that it is not by our power but by the grace of God. And we have not seen this God but by faith, we believe in his existence and we know He cares about us. In Christianity, we speak alot about faith and how we practise it and practical faith is one important and delicate subject that we must all understand. God came into world in form of Jesus Christ to set standards on how we should live our lives. Jesus' faith is one to emulate as it very practical and it expresses itself in various visible forms.
Hebrew 11:1
NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, [a]the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].
From the verse above, we can define faith as the evidence of things we have not seen with our eyes. The work christians must put in to achieve eternal life is practical faith and not intellectual faith. Practical faith and intellectual faith are two different aspect of faith. Some many people say they love God and they attend churches but they carry out different manners of atrocities and they do not live by faith, this kind of people have intellectual faith. So, saying we believe in God and obeying just his commandments is not enough, we need to prove it by obeying the commandments in reality.
We all remember the story of the woman with the issue of blood, She knows that only the touch of God can heal her but as she got to Jesus and she the crowd, she realised that God touching her and her touching God is quite similar and she acted on her faith and she was healed! Brethren, let us be practical with our faith and make our life a reflection of Jesus time on earth.
