Acts 20:32
And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
Above is my most favorite verse of the Bible, in it is the answer to all of life's questions.
The word of His grace...
In the beginning was the word, the word was with God and the word was God.
The word of God is God's identity. Remember, in the garden of eden, Bible says that "the voice of God came walking in the garden" that voice is God's identity. That was the same voice that created the heavens and the earth in the beginning. Contained in the Bible is the word of God. Take note of this, the Bible is not the word of God. The Bible contains the word of God and the word of His grace (as written in Acts 20:32) is contained in the Bible.
We were commended to the word of His grace, and the exciting thing about "the word of His grace" is that it is able to build us up. The word of God has in it the ability to make you what it talks about. The word of God is the building block for your life. The word of God will deliver to you an inheritance among those that are sanctified. This is so amazing. Hearing this alone makes me excited.
Having heard this, what will be your resolve? Isn't it glaring that the word of God is dependable? This should be your resolve: go for the word.
all things that you will ever need in your life is wrapped up in the word.
The word is for doing...
The word of His grace that we're being commended to in Acts 20:32 above is for doing.
Be ye doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves James 1:22
You must do the word, you must act what it says to get the results it talks about. If you want to be built up (by the word), if you want "the inheritance among them that are sanctified" to be delivered to you, then you must "do the word"
