a grateful heart

source

For many to be grateful is difficult, because their life has been difficult. But being grateful despite the circumstances can mean the difference between living happy or unhappy. Our emotions play a very important role in the attitude of gratitude, and it is said that the one who is grateful is happier than the one who is not. It is scientifically proven that being grateful makes us happy, which means that being ungrateful will make us unhappy.

The book in the Bible that talks more about gratitude is Psalms, today we will analyze some verses that will help us understand 3 reasons why we should live grateful with God.

Who is He?

Sal. 145: 3 (NLT) Great is the Lord, the most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness.
Sal. 107: 8 (NIV) May they give thanks to the Lord for his great love, for his wonders for men!
Nobody will love you as God loves you. The only reason you can love is because you are made in his image
and similarity.

For what he has done

Sal. 52: 9a (DHH) Oh God, I will always thank you for what you have done;
Sal. 9:14 (DHH) And so, at the gates of Jerusalem, I will tell the whole world that you are worthy of praise, and that I
I'm happy because you saved me.
Sal. 118: 21 (NLT) I thank you for answering my prayer, and for giving me the victory!
Col. 2: 13-14 13 You were dead because of your sins and because you still had not taken the
sinful nature. Then God gave them life with Christ by forgiving all our sins. 14 He canceled the
record with the charges against us and eliminated it by nailing it to the cross. The forgiveness that God gives us is free, but it cost very dearly, the life of Jesus.

There are people who say that God wants us to be millionaires. That God never wants us to get sick from a terminal illness. That God does not want us to have problems in our lives. But the Bible says that sometimes suffering is God's will for our lives. Why? Because it deepens our faith. Build our character It teaches us to engage in worship instead of worrying about problems.

For what he has promised us

Through the Bible there are about 7,000 promises of God for us, just to mention a few:

Jn. 11:25 (NLT) Jesus said to him, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me will live even after having
dead.
Mat. 6:33 (NLT) Search the kingdom of God above all else and lead a righteous life, and he will give you everything
what they need
Heb. 13: 5b (NLT) I will never fail you. I will never leave you.
We can also show God that we are grateful by serving him with the skills he gave us, by serving
to others. Is there something you are doing in gratitude to God, serving others? If you are not serving others, you are
living a selfish life.

May our whole life manifest gratitude towards God, may it be our way of life
