The scene is one of the most memorable in the history of the Bible: Jesus sitting on the side of a mountain, pronouncing his famous Sermon del Monte, the place is next to the Sea of Galilee, probably near Capertanaum. After having passed All night in prayer, Jesus has just chosen 12 of his disciples to be apostles. Then with all of them, lower the flat part of the mountain.
One would think that by then Jesus would be very tired and would like to sleep a little. But great macheduts have come, and some people have come from Judea and Jerusalem, at a distance of 100 to 110 kilometers an approximate of 60 to 70 miles, others have come from the coast of Tire and Sidon located at the north, all have come to listen to Jesus and to be healed of their diseases, there are also many people who are disturbed by demons of satan.
While Jesus lowers the sick they come to touch him and he heals them all, it seems that later Jesus climbs to a higher place in the mountain there he sits and begins to teach the crowds dispersed on the flat part before him, and think in this: now there is not in the whole audience even a single person who is suffering from a serious illness! People are eager to hear the teacher who can perform these amazing miracles, however Jesus pronounces his sermon primarily for the benefit of his disciples, who are around him closer than other people, but so that we can also benefit both Matthew and Lucas has put it in writing.
Matthew's account of the sermon is about four times longer than Luke's, and Luke presents portions of what Matthew recorded as words Jesus said on other occasions during his ministry, as can be seen from his comparison of Matthew 6: 9.13 with Luke 11: 1.4 and Matthew 6: 25.34 with Luke 12: 22.31 but this should not surprise us, Jesus obviously taught the same things more than once, and lucas opted to record some of these teachings in a framework of different circumstances.
The depth of the spiritual content of the sermon of Jesus is not the only one that makes it so valuable, but also the simplicity and clarity with which he presents these truths, the illustration he says with common experiences and makes use of things that people are familiar with, which allows their ideas to be easily understood by all who seek a better life in God's way.
The Sermon delmonte would be summarized in the following way to teach us how to live a consecrated and pleasing life to God, free from hypocrisy, full of love and grace, and full of wisdom and discernment.
A great word to contribute a pocomas to this great community of @steemchurch that every day God has blessed more thanks to the support of apostles like @abiye that make every day everything go in blessing.
