In trusting the word of God, one must be obedient to the word {1 Pet. 2:2}. That is desire the word of God at all times as if it were food to the body because it gives eternal life (John 6:68}. This was the reason that made God command Joshua in Joshua 1:8 never to allow his word to depart from his mouth and to meditate on it day and night. Trusting the word of God brings the fulfilment of His promises upon man. The word of God says:

Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Rom. 10:1 7

So man must know the word in order to have faith and trust in God. It is by hearing and studying of God's word that we know the things God has for us as His children. We have to be conversant with the Bible in order to discover this truth and reason for man's existence. By so doing, we will live a fulfilling life on earth. Jesus said in Matthew 11: 28 says:

Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and! will give you rest.

This is one of God's word and promises for man. But so many people don't work on this faith and principle because of ignorance and lack of trust in God. They tend to help themselves and do things their own way instead of God's way and this is very bad in the sight of God because it means disobeying His word. So as believers and children of God, we have to obey his word and see His promises by doing as it is commanded, then, nobody will call God a liar or claim that His word is not true. But the fact remains that God's people don't practice or live by these words. As a result, they go through incomprehensible and questionable problems as if Jesus Christ did not pay the price on the cross for them. The truth is that they don't know the God they serve. To trust in God's word means you must be faithful, obedient and willing to do His will. Thus, trusting in God's word means that when God says do it, you must do it.
