Gratitude is one of the most powerful attitudes that exist, that make the difference of each day that we live. Being grateful makes us feel better and allows us to enjoy the great blessings, such as those that seem small, but in reality are also great.
A man worked in a coal mine and always gave thanks to God for his sandwich, one day a dog came and took it to the sandwich. The companions charged him and said: "and now, to see if you give thanks for the dog that took your food". The man went after the dog and after a while there was a collapse, and all the workers were trapped but he did not, so he said: "Lord, thank you for the dog."
The question we all ask ourselves is: how can we do, to be happier? There is no happier day, if I hope something nice happens to me on Monday, Wednesday, etc. I will be expectant, encouraged, and I will be happy. To be happy we have to stop comparing ourselves, because otherwise the happiness level goes down. God wants you to learn to celebrate the blessings of others and yours, happiness is a gradual experience, the excessive dose of happiness can hurt you; for example, you earned a million dollars, you became famous out of nothing and that can lead you to infidelity, to gambling, to drugs.
Because fame is the social look, the applause of the people. The successful one may or may not be famous, but he is always happy because he is under his dream. Fame is not handled depends on others, one day you want other days reject you, fame binds you, is a curse makes you live under the eyes of others.
Success is a blessing from God, there are big and small successes, but all are successes at last. Success is built with effort.
What level of happiness do you have?
Solving a problem does not make you happier, it gives you only relief. Happy people have habits of happiness, it is something that we build ourselves every day. To activate happiness, you have to:
We must have a grateful heart
A grateful spirit that "abound the graces". Thankfulness brings double blessing. Thankfulness makes you powerful, when we have a bad time, giving thanks is not easy; before crises, tensions, and problems, saying thanks becomes difficult. If we can not say thank you we lose power, to solve that crisis that tension and those problems. The Bible teaches us that God is grateful.
But sometimes "the syndrome of learned helplessness" appears: whatever I do my conflicts will continue there, this generates a permanent ingratitude; You have to break with that. Thank you, it's not an innocent word, I say it out of habit, that word has power!
The love source of happiness
We come from love and we go towards love. Most of us were conceived from love and that feeling is one of the two things that all human beings long for and desire, although we do not always verbalize it: being loved and being accepted. However, as on other occasions, we must turn our gaze towards ourselves and not look outside for what lies irremediably within us. This is: loving and accepting ourselves before aspiring for another to love and accept us.
Remember good moments
When Jesus fed the crowd, there were twelve baskets left over. Then they went to the other side and he kept talking about that; because that memory was going to sustain them in the middle of the storm. The positive memories you have when the Lord brought you out of your past afflictions, will strengthen your heart to resolve present situations; in the middle of debt, illness etc. and you can say: "I will remember your justice, Lord, of yours alone".
David when he was in front of Goliath, he did not say: "And now how do I do?" He said: "I killed the bear, I killed the lion, and I'm going to kill this giant too" Those memories motivated and excited him. David, always remembered: "My soul blesses the Lord and do not forget any of its benefits", was enhanced with positive memories. "You anoint my head with oil": to activate good and beautiful memories.
Flow through your dreams
Some flow in certain activities: women in the shopping, men on the court, those who dance dancing, those who sing giving a concert, those who cook preparing delicious dishes. Others flow with the problems (they complain all day). You have to enjoy everything you do. Crowds flowed with Jesus, David meditated day and night and said: "I am a tree planted by streams of water, if I start to enjoy his presence, my leaf will not fall and my fruit will be ready"
"When David killed Goliath he did not do so to be applauded, however the people saw what he did. People will learn about your achievements, your dreams achieved; Even those who did not believe in them will have to recognize that God does great things through you. Everyone will see that God took away the mourning, the sadness, the depression and instead, he set a table in front of your anguishes and anointed your head with oil of joy and joy!"
There are so simple things that make us happy: how to help a child, a hug from a loved one, these days ago I was happy just listening to a music, that made me dream, and see my life beyond.
In this life all that is needed to be happy has a name and is called Jesus!
In Him is everything, meditating on his word, on his promises, on his sacrifice and on his fidelity, THERE ARE NO WORDS! There is nothing to say, it is only the heart surrendered to Him, the one who knows each of the hearts can know our disposition and only see and feel our Sigh of Gratitude.
That sigh that comes from the depths of our hearts, recognizing that we should not worry about absolutely nothing, because we know in whom we have placed trust, because outside of Him there is nothing else, because there is nothing to look for, the only whom we should seek is our precious Jesus, who is with whom we feel free, filled with Him, with joy and in Him is the only one in whom we find fulfillment.
Sigh MORE! For his kindness, for his love, because he is with us every day, because he promised it, because he is the God of my life and of yours as well.
Well, we sigh when we're in love, then, how would He feel knowing we're sighing for Him? It is a great gesture of gratitude for everything he has done for each one of us.
Suspirá every day for Him, looking for his face, worshiping him, passionate for his presence where the solution to any affliction is found, and he will fill us with passion, love and joy in our lives so that during the day we will sigh looking at the sky.
Bless, my soul, to Jehovah,
And bless my whole being, your holy name.
Bless, my soul, to Jehovah,
And do not forget any of its benefits.
He is the one who forgives all your iniquities,
He who heals all your ailments;
The one who rescues your life from the hole,
The one who crowns you with favors and mercies;
The one that satisfies your mouth well
So that you rejuvenate yourself like the eagle.
