First let me state that I really appreciate all of the third party work done in this area by arhag, jabba and void (and any others I've missed)!
That said ...
I would really like to see an official Steemit created or endorsed Author Payout Per Post Tool on this site or as an executable, so that authors who need to split payments on a post up between several individuals or send the post payout to someone else can do so without worry that the total is incorrect, out of date or a number is being misinterpreted. The numbers shown currently with each post include the 50% paid out to curators (starting tomorrow 25%) and does not reflect the actual amount in SD and SP that the author will receive for the post alone.
The tools we have right now created by others are great, but personally I would feel more comfortable if the numbers provided were officially endorsed by Dan or Ned as being correct. I would like to be able to determine how much in Steem Dollars (SD) and Steem Power (SP) was generated from each individual post to be assured that the portions I transfer to others is indeed the proper amount.
One particular post on this account is being split up between 10 people and many others made on this account are to be paid out to the bloggers that were linked to within the post. Initially we tried creating accounts for some people and posting under that account in hopes of transferring the account to them at a later date. However the people we did this for did not respond to our emails and we can only assume it is because it sounds a little too good to be true or spammy when someone emails you saying something like, "You have money on this website!" (not the actual phrase we used).
So instead we're going to simply send the funds to these bloggers/vloggers in Bitcoin. Instead of emailing them promises of money if they come to the site and claim the account, we will be sending them Bitcoin and emailing them the TxID letting them know the funds were generated from their content posted on Steemit, because money talks.
In previous discussions on slack several others have indicated they are in the same boat and would find such a tool very useful, especially one created by Steemit that can guarantee the numbers shown are correct. I hope @dan and @ned will consider this in the near future, the sooner the better! ;)
Update :
I have discovered that you can get this information from steemd.com with a little time and searching. It will be a lot easier after 7/4 to find each post payout daily, it just may take some time to go through all the pages after this big payout if you've made a lot of post (and I made more than anyone!). The site breaks down each post payout with SD/SP and afaict is accurate. I still wouldn't mind seeing this information directly on a post page on Steemit though. :)
