Herons Unlimited Terms and Conditions

It's come to my attention that it would be useful to have more explicit T&Cs. So here they are.

For the purposes of this document, "Owner" is the person who is delegating cards to a Herons-Unlimited account, and "Player" is the person who is playing it on Splinterlands.io or Steemmonsters.com.

General Operations

1. Accounts owned by Herons Unlimited will all be restricted to Active Authority for transactions. Active keys will not be shared.
2. There are four types of earnings covered by this agreement: Reward cards, Dark Energy Crystals, Steem/SBD, and season rewards booster packs.
3. Reward cards shall be automatically converted to Dark Energy Crystals through the @ottermaker service, and those Dark Energy Crystals shall be distributed as in #4. Cards become property of Ottermaker.
4. Dark Energy Crystals shall be taken from the account and distributed as agreed by the Owner and the Player to the accounts specified by them.
5. Steem/SBD earnings, from tournaments or otherwise, shall be taken from the account and distributed as agreed by the Owner and the Player to the accounts specified by them. They may be set independently from #4.
6. Season rewards packs shall be distributed as agreed by the Owner and the Player to the accounts specified by them. In the case of no prior arrangement being made packs will be split evenly; if the total number of packs is odd the extra pack will go to the owner.
7. Any earnings not covered by this agreement (such as non-Steem tournament winnings) shall be negotiated between Player and Owner independently. Herons Unlimited will facilitate transfers when both parties confirm.
8. Herons Unlimited reserves the right to deny service to any person at our discretion.

Owners

1. Prospective Owners shall receive a Herons-Unlimited account name to delegate to. Owners do not acquire any ownership in said account, and Herons Unlimited retains the right to stop service to any account at any time.
2. Accounts are for delegation only. Do not send real cards.
3. If owners are asked to undelegate cards from an account and do not do so, that account may be played with no remuneration owed them.
4. Owners are free to undelegate some or all cards from their account at any time.
5. Any owner who undelegates sufficiently to make an account non-playable must notify Herons Unlimited or risk future denial of service.
6. Any owner who undelegates sufficiently to make an account non-playable midseason shall not be entitled to season rewards.
7. Owners have the right to remove the Player playing their account at their discretion. In the event of a midseason termination, Herons Unlimited will weigh the facts in the case and make a determination on the proper disposition of season rewards. Accounts may be allowed to idle until the end of the season. For accounts where the Owner is an employee of Herons Unlimited, and termination is applied under this clause rather than #6 or #8 below, season rewards shall always be maintained as per the prior agreement.
8. If an account has no Player, employees of Herons Unlimited may choose to play it for reasons including but not limited to raising or maintaining its ranking. In this case Herons Unlimited will earn the player's share, and the owner's will remain unchanged.

Players

1. Players will be provided with a Herons Unlimited account and a posting key to log into Splinterlands.io or Steemmonsters.com. Players do not acquire any ownership in said account, and Herons Unlimited retains the right to stop service to any account at any time.
2. Players may not post, comment, resteem, or downvote from their Herons Unlimited account. Players may upvote if they wish, but are not entitled to any curation rewards.
3. Unless otherwise specified in their specific agreement, Players may participate in any activity offered to them on the Splinterlands.io and Steemmonsters.com websites which does not require spending assets.
4. Players may choose to improve their deck by delegating more cards. Do not send real cards.
5. Players may choose to improve their deck by renting cards from the Peakmonsters market using the card rental tutorial. Do not send Steem or SBD to the account.
6. Players are expected to consistently complete their Daily Quests. Not doing so will be grounds for removal by Herons Unlimited. Players removed on these grounds will not receive season rewards.
7. Any player who chooses to abandon an account must notify Herons Unlimited or risk future denial of service.
8. Any player who abandons an account midseason shall not be entitled to season rewards.
9. In the event of accounts becoming low on resource credits, usually @steemmonsters will automatically delegate some Steem Power to allow them to continue to play. Please attempt this before asking Herons Unlimited for delegation; if the game's automatic delegation doesn't come through we will provide some.

Guilds

1. Herons Unlimited shall maintain guilds for its accounts. Accounts do not have the right to be in a guild, but we will make an effort to have guild spots available.
2. Herons Unlimited may impose a tax on DEC earnings not to exceed the estimated additional earnings received by an account by virtue of being a member of the guild it is in.
3. Neither Players nor Owners shall accrue any equity in the Guild.
4. Owners may opt their accounts out of guild membership at any time.
5. Any account which has contributed significantly to a guild will remain in that guild unless requested by the Owner, or unless both Owner and Player change concurrently.
