So, the KC Chiefs are on a SLIDE - they started the season on a TEAR and then dropped 4 of the last five, including a stinker to the Giants. Depressing.
The Bills were riding high - compared to everyone's expectations at least - and then they had some bad games (as expected) plus the coach benched Tyrod Taylor for a rookie (NOT EXPECTED). This backfired. Peterman, the rookie, was intercepted FIVE TIMES in the first half last week - sure, the Chargers are better than their record but COME ON. Tyrod Taylor was playing fine, and they put him back in for the 2nd half but it was too far gone.
SO, what will happen this week? Will Andy Reid and the Chiefs stop their slide? Or will the Tyrod Taylor recapture the locker room (and the front office...) and they reinsert themselves as the princes of the AFC East, fighting for a wild card spot?
I have to say that one of two Andy Reid's will show up (hence the photo at the top of this post), and I don't have much faith in Andy Reid reinvigorating his team - he does a good job typically but peters out come playoffs. And the fact that his typical post-bye magic didn't work this season doesn't bode well. The Chiefs players won't take the Bills seriously after what happened to them in Los Angeles, but that's a mistake - both of these teams are pretty legit, so I have to give the nod to the Bills since I think they have a better chance of coming back after last week's embarrassment (at least they have a reason for their issues and they are addressing them (QB!)).
Bills to win this, Chiefs to lose a game, and cling to a 1 game lead in the AFC West (which they'll squander to the Chargers later this season).
Bills will get into the postseason for the first time in FOREVER, and promptly eliminated, but hey, we'll see last week's game as the blip as they become a consistently top 8 AFC team for the next 4 years (that's amazing if you know what's happened to them the past 4 years).
