Week 6 Recap

After 6 weeks, the cream is starting to rise to the top. In the NFC, the Eagles (surprise!) are the only 1-loss team left after taking care of the Panthers, in Charlotte, on Thursday Night Football. In the AFC, the Chiefs stand alone at 5-1 but took their first L on Sunday against the Steelers. But the biggest story from Sunday is out of Green Bay, where Aaron Rodgers suffered a broken collarbone against the Vikings. Rodgers will miss several weeks - and may be out for the year - which changes the NFC landscape.

It was also a big week for underdogs as 11 of the 14 underdogs covered - 9 of which won outright. That includes the upset of the year so far as Eli Manning and his skeleton crew of receivers waltzed into Mile High Stadium and beat the 3-1 Broncos on Sunday Night Football.

A bit of shuffling atop the leaderboard after Week 6:

@brendanwenzel shot to the top spot after picking NYG moneyline - probably the pick of the year so far - resulting in him having a nice lead with 7.82 units. @fatdaddy (3.61 units) also had a nice week, going 4-1 overall. His winners were LAR -1, NYG +13.5, NYG-DEN Under 38.5, and TEN -7.5. @smedia dropped a couple spots and now rounds out the top three (3.25 units) after going 2-5 on the weekend.

Tonight there's a big AFC West showdown as the Chiefs (-3) take on the Raiders. It's a big game for both teams as KC looks to avoid back-to-back losses and the Raiders don't want to fall into a 2-5 hole after 7 games.

Sample tags for Thursday Night’s match-up:

  • sportsteem nfl kc ml indicates a moneyline pick that Kansas City will win
  • sportsteem nfl oak spread indicates a pick that Oakland will cover the spread

There are still two full weeks left - plenty of time to pick, track and win!
