Nick was a second round pick by the Lakers in 1993 NBA draft. He immediately showcase his talent's as he played 81 games in his rookie season starting 80 of the while averaging 14 points and 6 assists per game. Nick continued to be a valuable player for the "purple and gold" for four more season earning himself an All-Star selection in 1998. He was traded at the end of that season to Denver Nuggets. During the 2001-02 season he played the best basketball of his career scoring 20 points a game and also adding 8 assists, however he was traded mid season to Dallas.After that he never put up great numbers again but was always an important player. More so that his stats and achievements his was known for his flashy playstyle, no-look passes, acrobatic layups and just his downhill style of play especially early in his career. That playstyle is his trademark and the reason he is now known as "Westbrook before Westbrook."
