I had some good end of season rewards this time around. Three rares, a GF common, and 425 in DEC.
This season I decided to do a combination of buying and renting up to Silver 2 from Silver 1. I have stopped renting up because I'm sick of the last minute rug pulls - but I'm planning on buying more cards and wanted to try some of the Legendaries on, so I figured I might as well rent up while I'm at it. I combined with some buying, mostly of non CL cards, because I expected some rug pull rentals and wanted to mitigate the effect. Still, Three times in the last two days I added rentals to bring me back to Silver 2 because others were cancelled.
This isn't just a post to complain. I have a brainstorm solution that maybe others would build on. I'm aware that some discord groups have started making a sort of black list for renters who pull cards last minute at EOS. This can be a lot of labor to sort through and has the community resources to access a list like that. It would be easier to have a structural fix.

So Here's My Brainstorm**
When someone puts a card up for rent they have the option of clicking a box that is an EOS guarantee. This shifts the contract from daily to until the end of season. Of course these cards would rent at a higher rate throughout the season. The owners of the card could, perhaps, cancel, but at a steep penalty that is returned to the renter. Say 75% of the full fee would be returned to the renter. Seems like this could serve everybody, allowing the rental market to be more lucrative throughout, and especially allowing less resourced players to fulfill their intention of ranking up without spending endless hours scurrying to fulfill their investments with over priced last minute rentals. It would be an opt in choice, so those who still wanted to rent all season and reclaim their cards for EOS, or to raise the rent for EOS to try to take advantage of last minute market forces, could still do that without being labeled as somehow working the system.
I'm no market guy - just brainstorming.
