What's Wrong With That Card - Ed. 01

It is a generally accepted idea that the price of something is the amount offered by a willing buyer and accepted by an equally willing seller in an open and fair exchange. On this basis, I thought that within the Splinterlands Marketplace I would examine the absolutely cheapest cards, since all things being equal this suggests that there is the least demand for these cards. Surely they can't be so bad as to be pushed to the bottom of the proverbial pile. So let's take a look....

As of this post, the lowest valued card in the marketplace is.....

UNDEAD MINOTAUR

This 6 mana common Death Monster is handed out as a Reward card or can be yours for the bargain basement price of $0.01 cents (34 DEC as of this posting).

Let's take a look at the stats:

So as you can see, at his Level 1(1 bcx) you are going to get 1 melee, 2 speed, 5 life, and the ability Double Strike, which allows the Monster to inflict its damage twice every turn. If you can amass 505 of these bad boys you can have a Maxed out Level 10 which gives you 3 melee, 4 speed, still no shield, and 8 life. Plus in addition to Double Strike you have Retaliate which gives the Monster the chance to hit their attacker when hit by melee attack.

Now, notwithstanding the fact that this particular card has a special place in my heart since it is the first card I owned upon starting the game...my question is does it deserve to wear the cap of shame for being the least in demand card in the Splinterlands Universe?

Have you played it in your lineup? Has it come through? I can think of a couple of game formats where I have actually put this guy in. Let me know your thoughts...

As always have fun and Play On!!!
