Spliinterlands: Never Underestimate the Ant Miners!

This was a brawl match that I competed in today. I believe the mana was 18, silent summoner, with reverse speed. Usually when I see 17 or 18 mana I go straight to Llama/ Quora but since earth wasn't an option and the silent summoner I decided to go with low and slow in fire. This is how things looks at the start:

I decided to start out with a Flame Monkey since he is nice and slow, meaning quick as can be with reverse speed. I followed with Scorch Fiend mainly because he is a zero mana, then I threw in the Ant Miners knowing the scavenge would be a killer! I followed up with Serpentine Spy, Kobalt Miner, and finished off with Tenyii Striker. You will notice I didn't use any Gladius cards because they really wouldn't have given me any real value.

Let's watch how it unfolds:

First kill was the Flame Monkey taking out the Scorch Fiend.

I quickly lost my Flame Monkey and Scorch Fiend allowing the Ant Miners to scavenge up some more health.

My Tenyii Striker died next giving the Ant Miners more health...

Kobalt Miner went next but now my Ants had a health of 10, getting pretty tough to beat and their ranged attack Gladius card now was in front position and could no longer fight.

When it's all said and done my Ant Miners have 12 health. Scavenge is a great ability in these low mana matches.

You can watch the whole match here if you like: https://splinterlands.com/?p=battle&id=sm_zZwzSoiZ93OCeRnjRKTr

This whole match really depended on my Ant Miners being able to scavenge enough health to become a nasty tank. It's a strategy that I have used over and over and it is almost always a winner. So don't forget to use those fantastic scavenge cards. And most of all in a brawl don't feel obligated to use a Gladius card because your main deck is often stronger!

I hope you found this interesting and hopefully picked up something of value. Please leave any suggestions, comments, or questions below. Thanks so much for taking the time to read over my post! Thanks for everyone's kind support, it's greatly appreciated!
