In July Spider-Man Far from Home starts in the cinemas and this is the second solo film of the new Peter Parker, played by Tom Holland. The young actor comes from Great Britain and had to train a New York accent for the role of Peter Parker. For this he was sent by Marvel to a high school to hike for three days among the students. Of course they didn't know anything about him and who he really was, because his acting career was rather small until then.
He then pretended to be a different person and tried to learn to talk a bit like a New York student. There he told a student that he was being considered for the role of Peter Parker alias Spider-Man and the student didn't believe him. By the way, Marvel only sent Tom Holland to high school because he had the idea. But he meant it that to them only for fun.
Tom Holland told in the cooking show of Jon Favreau The Chef Show at Netflix that only four days before he stood in front of the camera for Civil War, he found out that he was playing Spider-Man. A month before he had screen tests once with Tony Stark actor Robert Downey Junior and Chris Evans and was able to convince Kevin Feige. He probably improvised very well with Robert Downey Junior, because Robert Downey Junior has of course deviated from the script again, he should like to do that more often.
Also the end scene of Infinity War, where Spider-Man in the arms of Tony Stark dissolves into air after Thanos did the snap, is said that what we can see in the film would not stand in the script and Tom Holland and Robert Downey Junior are said to have improvised it.
In this same cooking show Jon Favreau announced that Tom Holland does his own stunts in costume. Normally you can just put a stunt-double into a costume, nobody would recognize it anyway. In this case Tom Holland is supposed to be in the costume himself. This is unusual because most of the stars use doubles, but it shows once again how much Tom Holland loves his role as Spider-Man.
Jake Gyllenhaal will play Quentin Beck alias Mysterio in Far from Home. The actor himself almost became a Spider-Man, because when Spider-Man 3 was supposed to be filmed with Tobey Maguire, he had enormous back problems, which is why the studio decided to cast Jake Gyllenhaal as a replacement. But then Tobey Maguire did well enough to make the film. Now Jake Gyllenhaal has his own and also a good role and won't be in the shadow of another one, which I personally think is quite good.
