SPECIAL WEEK HOLY PART II - JUDAS ACCEPTS TO BETRAY JESÚS

SPECIAL WEEK HOLY PART II

Judas accepts to betray Jesus

Luke 22 New International Version (NIV)

Lucas: 22
1 Now the Festival of Unleavened Bread, called the Passover, was approaching,
2 and the chief priests and the teachers of the law were looking for some way to get rid of Jesus, for they were afraid of the people.
3 Then Satan entered Judas, called Iscariot, one of the Twelve.

4 And Judas went to the chief priests and the officers of the temple guard and discussed with them how he might betray Jesus.
5 They were delighted and agreed to give him money.
6 He consented, and watched for an opportunity to hand Jesus over to them when no crowd was present.

Days before the feast of unleavened bread (the Passover), the bible says that Satan entered Judas the Iscariot to deal or do business with the captains and the chief priests to deliver JESUS to sell it and, therefore, betray it. They were happy because they wanted to kill JESUS and offer money to Judas, he accepted and planned to find the exact time to deliver it.

Judas was one of the disciples of JESUS, but as a disciple (Student) he did not learn the value or the art of LOYALTY that his teacher with facts taught them. He followed JESUS in all his preaching, he was the most reliable to take a job as treasurer.

For his betrayal he was rewarded with thirty coins (denarii), but then the bible says that he repented of his actions and tried to return the coins that had been given to him, but the priests did not accept to receive them and, when they did not Accept them, the threw to the temple. After all, desperate and anguished by the magnitude of his sin, he decided to commit suicide and hang himself.
