# NASA's first parachute test successful for Mars mission

American Space Agency NASA has successfully tested the speed of sound (supersonic) landing parachutes.

This parachute will be used by NASA during the Mars mission of 2020

Actually, this mission is dependent on a particular parachute.
** Since the spacecraft will enter Mars's atmosphere at a speed of 5.4 kilometers per second during the mission, a good parachute will be required to reduce its speed.**
The preparations being made for this mission have been shown through a video for the first time.

In this parachute can be seen opening at a faster pace than the speed of sound.
Under the Mars 2020 mission, there will be an attempt to find evidence of ancient life on Mars by examining the evidence available there. Mission's Parachute Test Series- Advance Supersonic Parachute Infusion Research Experiment (Aspire) started earlier this month.
