The energy of our earth is depended on the sun. The main distance from the earth of the sun is 149600000 km or 8 min 19 s light speed. The main element of the sun is hydrogen. The velocity of sun is 220 km/s. The sun is member of Milky Way. The mass of the sun is 1.98x10^30 Kg. The Sun is roughly middle-aged; it has not changed dramatically for more than four billion years, and will remain fairly stable for more than another five billion years. The enormous effect of the sun on earth has been recognized since prehistoric times, and the sun has been regarded by some cultures as a deity. The synod rotation of earth and its orbit around the sun are the basis of solar calendars, one of which is the predominant calendar in use today.
